Grandma's Dress

It is finally finished! This pattern is one from my grandmother's collection and is over 50 years old. She knit this for me in pink 32 years ago and I wanted to make one for my daughter. The yarn is Louet Gems sock yarn which is a beautiful yarn. Great for baby items since it is machine washable. The lace pattern was pretty easy and it is so nice to have this connection to another knitter in the family

It's beautiful! My sister-in-law is expecting the first girl in our families (after our collective 11 boys). Is that pattern still available somewhere?

Carrie,
The pattern is not available, but I have scanned it, so if you want it in the PDF form just let me know your email.

That is really beautiful. I love that you chose an unusual color, which just happens to be one of my favorites.

Thanx for the dress pattern, your model for your new daughter is JUST KNOCK_DEAD_GORGEOUS!! What an inspiration to use the Gems for such an heirloom. If i can't figure out how to scale this up for my 4-year old, i'll just have to hunt up a random baby girl to make this for... (as even my art curator husband would draw the line at putting our new baby William in this!!)
